Your gift will make a difference
Your donation gives the gift that will expand the Museum’s impact on children in the community. Our donors help us maintain and grow our early childhood education services and programming in southeastern North Carolina. Together we are helping children learn and grow.
Our Annual Fund
We are a community supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is committed to educating and inspiring imaginative, independent thinking through hands-on science, math, and art experiences. We rely on your charitable contributions to keep that commitment. Donate to our Annual Fund campaign today and help allow us to continue providing the children in our community a safe, engaging environment to learn through play.
No Donation is Too Small
To help alleviate the economic devastation caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Congress has enacted the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). Taxpayers who don’t itemize may now deduct up to $300 per year in charitable contributions. Such deductions must be: in cash, and given to a 501(c)(3) public charity. Make an impact in the lives of children in southeastern North Carolina with your easy one-time gift

Monthly Giving Program
Monthly giving is an easy and convenient way to make a difference in the lives of area children. This is a hassle-free, tax-deductible, safe, and secure way to support The Children's Museum. Donors can choose to support our Outreach, Art, Literacy, or STEM programs.
Sponsor a Family
Give the gift of membership to a local family in need. For just $155, you can give one under resourced family an Adventurer family membership to the Museum. This membership provides unlimited admission for (2) named adults and all the children in the household.
Give in Tribute
Make a donation in the honor or memory of a loved one. By supporting The Children's Museum of Wilmington, you have the opportunity to honor a special person or pay tribute to someone by making a memorial donation where you can help make a difference in the lives of children.
Enjoy Museum benefits for your employees and business, while giving back to the children of the greater Wilmington area at the same time!
Consider having an exhibit named in the honor or memory of a loved one. A plaque recognizing the person or family name will be placed at the exhibit. Your $5,000 contribution will help to maintain and expand this and other exhibits in the Museum.
Planned giving helps donors find a way to make charitable gifts now and after their lifetime, while potentially providing financial benefits for themselves and loved ones. Unlike cash donations, planned giving donations are typically made from assets in the donor's estate rather than disposable income. Leave a legacy with planned gifts.

Why should you support CMoW?
Here's what donor generosity allowed us to do:
Reached over 2,000 children across Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender Counties, through our outreach programs which are targeted at serving many of the undeserved youth in our community
Added four new STEM based exhibit pieces including an Air Chair, Flight Tube, Air Harp, and Magnetic Ring Launcher
Purchased a new Smartboard and ipads for use in some of our educational programs
Less visible, but equally important, was the replacement of five Heating/AC units and the installation of a new museum-wide PA system

"As soon as we walk in the doors, there is a familial feeling as we are greeted by name and with genuine connection. Moving to a new city on the onset of the isolating pandemic, this is an invaluable feeling for both my daughter and me. My daughter loves to kick off her time during Art Class with Ms. Jessie (who is incredible!); it's a wonderful creative outlet for her and each activity seems tailored to my daughter's interest each week. Thank you for not just opening your doors to us to play, but in creating a space where we feel valued and a part of something meaningful in this community." -Emma M.
"I really like the lego table because it is really fun. I like that you can build things in the water. I also love the lift-up chair and the dentist's office because you can clean pretend teeth and it has a real dentist chair. I love art on Friday because we get to paint and sometimes make something out of paper bags, there are exciting things in the art room next door too. My baby brother loves the toddler room because he loves dinosaurs and it has dinosaurs in it." -Avery M.
"My husband and I were finally able to bring our daughter for her first visit and, oh my gosh, was I impressed (and so was she ). She especially loved the slide, dinosaur and play mat area in the Toddler Treehouse and the little tunnel outside, but we also enjoyed the toy trains and soil erosion/water table area. You all have done so many marvelous updates/upgrades; everyone there deserves a lot of credit for finding the positive in such a crazy year." -Anonymous
